Lojze Lebič (Slovenia, 1934), composer, conductor, pedagogue, and musical writer Lojze Lebič ranks today as one of the Slovenian leading musicians. Notable Slovenian as well as international soloists and ensembles include Lebič’s works in their programs.  In 1994, he received the Prešeren Fund Award for his compositional work.  Since 1995 he has been a member of the Slovenian Academy of Science and Arts. His weighty choral opus emerged from close contact with choirs.
